“Our Association hired Tomacor to complete a necessary Transition study after our developer turned over our property to the new condominium owners. After living there a short time, most owners suspected the property to have serious deficiencies, but were unsure of the exact cause of the deficiencies and suspected other unknown issues existed. After reviewing several services, we chose Tomacor based on the thoroughness of the sample reports they provided us, along with their reputation in the industry. Tom Corbett, the company’s founder met with two other members of our board before inspecting the property to assess our known concerns. He was very professional, approachable, and friendly. He then thoroughly inspected the property, which included extensive photographs that detailed current condition of the building. After his inspection was completed, Tom sat down with us to thoroughly explain the findings of the inspection. During this process, Tom was able to discover that the type of report we had originally asked for was not what we needed. Tom’s detailed analysis of our property had not only answered the pending questions of why we were having issues, but highlighted other necessary deficiencies that need immediate attention. As a result, we are not armed with knowledge to be able to correct problems now before they become more serious, cause harm, and are more expensive to correct. Furthermore, his detailed communication eliminated any confusion or miscommunications, and in the end we had a product that was exactly what we needed.
